Turtles in Plaid was founded in the fall of 2023 by Anthony Shields, Joe Shields, Dylan Walkowicz, and Evan Swider in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Blending influences from the Rock and Americana sounds of the Grateful Dead and Billy Joel to the soaring power ballads of 1980s Hair Metal, each member brings a unique touch to the band’s distinctive style. This dynamic fusion has earned them two performances at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, along with a strong presence in the Greater Philadelphia Metro Area.

Their latest release, All Roads Lead to Plaid (EP), showcases their musicianship, storytelling, and genre-spanning sound, reflecting the experiences of everyday life in modern America.

In partnership with Distrokid, their independent label, Shell and Shield Productions, will release All Roads Lead to Plaid (EP) on October 30, 2024.
